Lozi Bowl - Lying Man 66.3

 

The Lozi people of Zambia are known for their basketry, they rarely work in wood, but their wooden bowls are sought after objects from collectors.      

The handles of the bowls are often carved into a man lying down.  

The bowls were originally used for storing food can be used for many purposes they are very special pieces of art.
